Miza za štiri is shaped not only by the people guests meet during the evening, but also by a quiet circle of craftsmen, artisans and collaborators whose work lives within every detail of the experience.

Wine pairing

Our sommeliers carefully build a wine selection designed not to overpower a dish, but to move alongside it — gently extending flavors, atmosphere and emotion throughout the evening.

Wine pairing, however, is never treated as a separate performance. We see it as another voice at the table — one that can whisper, contrast, comfort or surprise. Sometimes a glass may elevate a flavor. At other times it may evoke a memory or gently change the mood of a course. The goal is never complexity for its own sake, but harmony.

Tableware

The tableware itself is created specifically for the experience, with each piece designed to feel tactile, intimate and connected to the story of the course it carries.

Every plate, bowl and vessel begins with a simple question: how should this moment feel in a guest's hands? Some pieces are deliberately rough. Others are smooth, heavy or unexpectedly delicate. The object becomes part of the course itself, shaping the way a guest encounters what is being served before the first bite is ever taken.

Our wood

Many of the wooden elements throughout the restaurant have been handcrafted by a local artisan, bringing warmth, texture and a sense of quiet permanence into the space.

Whenever possible, we choose to work with people rather than products. Not because handmade objects are inherently better, but because collaboration allows every element to become part of the same story. A plate can be designed around a dish. A wooden object can be created for a specific moment. The result feels less assembled and more connected.

Craftsmanship is often associated with things that can be seen. Yet some of the most important contributions remain invisible. A carpenter's understanding of wood, a designer's sensitivity to texture, a sommelier's instinct for balance — these influences quietly weave themselves into the evening, creating a feeling that guests may notice without immediately understanding why.

We often describe Miza za štiri as a dining experience, but in reality it is the result of many hands working toward the same intention.

Some shape the food. Others shape the objects guests hold, the surfaces they touch and the environment that surrounds them throughout the evening.

Their names may not appear on the menu, yet their work is present in every course, every table and every carefully considered detail.

Together, they help create something that lasts only a few hours, but is designed to remain long after the evening has ended.
